Hi! I'm new to these message boards, but have a question for other X5 owners. I have a 2001 4.4 without the sport package. The chrome strips around the windows have clouded over and look awful. Anyone else notice this?

It sounds like the strips are defective. I would take it to the nearest BMW dealer and have them replaced.

It's almost time for my 15,000 mile service anyway, so I intend to address the issue with them then. It's just disappointing to pay that much for a vehicle and have something so noticeable look that way.

I agree with you. There is a special black paint you can use to paint the chrome strips.
