Key stuck in the ignition

I own a 1986 Camaro Iroc z and whenever i turn the car off the key stays in the ignition. I bought a new ignition and put it in but it didn't change. I even got a new steering column and switched them but it didnt change. Its automatic also, and i dont know much of anything about cars.. its my first one.

i had the same thing happen with my 94. i alway had to pull the fuse by the engine to cut the car off because i could not turn the key backward. so one day the car audio guys at my job just got a pair of vice grips and pulled it out and worked perfectly.not saying you should try, but maybe you should try lol.
