I have a '91 Formula, 305 v8 TBI. It ran fine one day. I parked it and the next day it wont stay running. It will start but will only run for a few seconds then kills. I have replaced the fuel pump less than a year ago. The fuel filter last month. I replaced the throttle positioning sensor and that didn't help. I also disconnected the vaccum line to EGR and that didn't hange anything. If I feather the pedel and keep the rpm up to about 3000 it will stay running but not completly smooth. Any help would be great I would hate to just start changing the sensors out.
Thanks in advance

If it is Fuel injected it could be MAF sensor.

timing could also be off. it could have jumped a tooth when shutting it off or while driving. also it could be the distributor guts have been warn down and you no longer have low RPM coil holding a charge.

I'm having the same issues.I start the car it idles for about 15 seconds or more then off. If I hold my foot down on the pedal a little bit it will idle, like you said not smoothly almost acts like the injectors are sputtering, here and there randomly. Could be from the Pickup/Stator in the Distributor. Could be the Injectors going bad, who knows. But I've replaced the Throttle Position Sensor, Idle Air Sensor, Ignition Module, Rotor Button, Plugs, Wires, Fuel Pump, and Fuel Filter so far. Only thing I have not yet tried is a Ignition Pickup/Stator $18.99, and a Map Baro Sensor $41.37. I'm picking up both tomorrow and will let you know my results.
