06 Silverado with P0300 and P0332 Codes

My 06 Silverado just popped up with the P0300 and P0332 error codes... basically engine misfire and knock sensor 2 signal short. The truck is running absolutely fine and I am not noticing a misfire or knock. Cleared the codes and took better than 30 miles and 2 restarts for the check engine light to come back on. Neither time the light came on was the truck uneder a load or hard acceleration, just cruising with my foot barely on the pedal. Where should I start looking? The original time the light came on was about 100 miles after Wal-Mart did a fuel injection cleaning... could this be related? I just hate to spend mega-bucks only to learn it is a loose wire or something!

do you wash you engine ? why did you get the injectors cleaned ?

No, I didn't wash the motor at all. Thr truck did go through a carwash earlier that day but never lifted the hood. Don't know if the spray from cleaning the grill or undercarriage hit a wire. The injector cleaning (yes, dumb) is a result of my own guilt. I'm used to my older vehicles that require tune-ups every 50 or 60K. Heck, this truck doesn't even have a servicable fuel filter. I've got 91K on the truck and havn't done anything but some of the obvious.

the fuel pressures will need testing.radom miss fires dtc 300 is the starting point. could be other componets .fuel tank need be kept above the 1/4 level..running low will damage the pump..no fuel filter is a major GM screw up in my opinion..I replace my filter every 30,ooomi...and it has a good amount of contamination[I cut them open]...

the ks dtc 332 means that the signal from the ks is not what the computer expects..the signal is either too low or high...

removal of the upper intake is required to check this..any corrosion around these sensors usually means replacing them, and also the connector to them must be clean...

with your vehicle , I would guess that they should read 100,ooo ohms..I don't have the OEM manual to be sure..

the upper intake/ks sensor area must be sealed so that no water/chemicals can get to them..this is a common problem..

post back with whatever you find..

Funny that you mention the fuel filter... I had a mechanic charge me $300 to change it once. I asked him to show me where it was on the truck and got the "nobody's allowed in the shop" routine. He never sued me when I cancelled the check I paid him with either!

Back on the error codes... is there a fuse I can pull to reset the computer without disconnecting the battery for 15-20 minutes? I'm taking the easy road first, as I did find a frayed green wire leading to a harness on the back of the intake. I just don't know if this is the ks error till I reset the computer.
