Does any body know how to bypass or disable completely the alarm that only sounds when using your own key to start the car? I cannot find the key that came with the car thath as the button to disable. I am unable to start my car. Will not be able to go to work.

all because battery positive terminal was disconnected during a car stereo re-install.

anyone can tell me how to disable it forever? The Little toggle switch up and down does nothing.

There's a tool, that can back feed 12vdc through the cigarette lighter, so you can save codes during a battery replacement, or isolate the fuse to the radio during the replacement.

I called my local repair man who does most of the work. last time he had this trouble, i had the key with the disable buttons. but he called Toyota and figured it out, it was only on '96 &'97 models they did this alarm system, they discontinued due to inconvenience and difficulty. They wanted me to tow it to a Toyota dealer! no way. Repair man figured it out and told me for next time how to do it.

We found solution to problem, is as follows;:iceslolan

Get in car with doors shut. Alarm toggle switch set to ON = (Up),,,,then turn key to ON (you will hear horn as alarm),,,, swich toggle to OFF (down) and turn key OFF quickly. Then try and restart your car and it is disabled. Car will start. No alarms or security by-pass.

 It's simple, but tricky,... rather invonvenience,. If you ever have this trouble, I hope this helps.
