My wife came home from work this morning. And she told me the oil warning lamp came on intermittently on her way home. It is about a 12 mile drive and it was -10 this morning. The low oil light didn't come on and I checked it and it is full.(Mobil1) I am wondering what I should do now. Should I drive it to work tonight and see if it comes on for me or should I bring it straight to the Mechanic? Also the SVS antilock and Trac off light came on on her way home. I have it in the garage all day and all the lights have gone off.

Welcome to the forum-- Are you refering to the low oil pressure or low oil level, the intrigue 3.5L has both. What year and model engine do you have.

The SVS, Antilock, and traction off have something to do with the antilock brakes I believe. All of these systems utilize the speed sensors on each wheel. On our 2000 Intrigue it seems like these lights come on once a year or so. It also seems like something about slipping on ice can do wierd things, and we have surely had our share of ice here in MN over the last week.

SVS, Trac, and Antilock do a self test after each shutdown I believe, I wouldn't worry about those until the roads clean up, and they are consistantly on during dry pavement conditions, but that's just me.

Oil level, keep an eye on it. I've noticed that when the 3.5L low oil light comes on it takes almost 1 quart to get it to full on the stick. With 6 quarts in a full pan, I think you were ok, if it was the level. If it's the oil pressure light, then that can be more serious.

Good Luck-

Take a look at this, the picture shows where the low oil pressure sensor is located and can't be OBD-2 scanned its not emissions related

OPS is the Oil Pressure Switch it’s a 2 wire clip after doing some research I figured it out. The white one is the Ignition Knock (Detonation) Sensor which is a 1 wire clip when I messed with it my OPS light went away or may have happened by coincidence since the oil was sitting for a while. It looks like a PITA to access. I'd check if it’s clipped properly clean it up you might be lucky to fit a long socket bit over it to change it.

It's the one just to the right of the freeze plug in this picture, at the same level as the exhaust port on the exhaust manifold. You can get em at Autozone. Make sure you have a socket to fit - lot easier than using a wrench. Hose the area down with brake cleaner first.

They aren't too bad. I think you can do them without removing the tire but jack it up and jackstand it on the right side.
