Don't see why there is not a lot of attention to this build. Its stunning. The paint work and cf came out excellent. Sucks the interior is so plain, but the cf did add some spice to it. Keep us posted.

Looking good! Nice and clean.

Thanks everybdy. I am doing the decals now, I will post some updates soon. This kit has allot of decals that take some work to conform and lay down.

Outstanding work, as usual. Your CF decal abilities make me jealous. Did you drill your own holes on the flooring and on the roll cage? And what did you use for roll bar padding?

Can't wait to see the next phase of decaling!

I did drill out the chassis holes and deepened the rollcage holes. The padding is molded but I have found thatwrapping Tamiya's masking tape painted black over these areas is easier than trying to mask and paint them. I also added the front bar on the rollcage to strengthen it and to help mount the dash securely. It fits up under the dash. I do this on all the cars I do.

Looks really good and it shouldnt be to much trouble touching up around that fender. I just had my own private decal hell session. Im beginning to think it might be just a bit to could in the shop for this. lol

There is always allot of touchup with these complex decal jobs. I usually do that after I am doing all the decals. Tamiya's X-7 Red Acrylic matches the red. I try to use the Acrylics because it's safer and sometimes hot paints react with th edge of the decal you are touching up.

The decal work looks mighty fine. You are way to honest showing us the little mishappenings there. I wouldnīt have done that for sure.

What did you use for the black rollbar surroundings - canīt think of the correct english word for it now (padding??)?

Cheers

Thanks but I had an extra set. I always try to get an extra set from Tamiya America for complex decal schemes like this one.

Hey Dale, im curious about your door panels. Did you cut then off the tub? Ive got the Xanavi and Calsonic and im building the Calsonic. Looked at both kits and there identical from what I can tell. But my interior tub is one piece. except fot the rear wall. Thanks

Yes I cut them loose and made channels to put them back in securely. I thought the painting and decalling would be easier if I did.
