A few questions on the 4 runnersChick-FIl-A 04-10-2003, 09:37 AM Hi, i'm new to this forum and i will be receiving my 98 4 runner from my mom when i get my license next week. It's just a normal 2 wheel drive and gold package, but i had a few question upon how to clean it up (i know that sounds so newbie). I heard that armor-all isn't good for the dashboard or the leather seats, so what should i use or should i use armor-all? what's a good cleaning solution for the body, tires, rims, ect. Thanks, it's greatly appreciated. Beto 0209 04-27-2004, 01:16 AM Thatīs simple, Wax once a month. Take good care of the leather because it get damaged very quicly, buy a leather conditioner and aply at least once a month, cleanit first, with any product that is made for leather. Sory for my english im not from the U.S. Tomsriv 04-28-2004, 12:42 AM Wow you get a 98 4runner for your first car? Dam. Wax it every 3-6 months. Make sure you apply the wax in the shade. Their are lots of good interior cleaners but you are right about Armor-all. It is petrolium based. Look for water based interior conditioners. The good old carnuba wax is the softest and most beautifying of all. I know elbow grease may be required, but always remember: "A little goes a long way" - so don't pile it on - just a thin coat. Turtle wax makes one of the most effective yet reasonably priced interior/leather conditioners and boy it doesn't take much of that either to do your whole 4Runner. So for about 10-15 bucks........you're good to go. Also, don't forget tire conditioner: The best I've ever used is: Maguire's Adjustable Spray tire shine spray.... It's absolutely stunning. Good luck on your 1st car. Mine was a '72 Dodge Coronet :-) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
