1992 Bonneville big issues bad service

Have a 1992 bonneville 3.8 v6 NA. Bought it about 2 months ago had around 200000 miles on it but with all service records and it ran perfect. I have been letting my pregnant fiance who works at Volvo of the Triad drive it because she wrecked her car. Two days ago the car sprang a coolent leak in the parking lot while she was pulling into work. The dealership offered to look at the car and did. My fiance called me and told me that they thought it was a hose leaking and i said if it was just a hose to go ahead and fix it. All in all they went and replaced the lower intake gasket and told her thats what they had to do for her to make it home. That would have been fine if it was done correctly. Now the car backfires and sputters while driving and the oil pressure drops extreamly after the car warms up. They have looked at it every day since and have said that it was fixed. Then they replaced the ignition module and coil without telling me and charged me almost 500 dollars and the car still does the same thing. Anyone know whats wrong? Its obvious the mechanics are incompitant. Take a stab at it.

Forgot to mention that the Mechanic that worked on the car isn't even certified, and I signed no paper giving them any right to work on my car and neither did my fiance.

As for the leak, best way to find it's cause is to look under the hood for the source right after shutting off the engine.

The Backfire could be from a head gasket leak. I had a taurus with that same exact symptom and it turned out to be a pinhole leak in the Head gasket next to the #1 plug.

First they should not have fixed it unless you signed to have it repaired.. Signed Work Order...

Did they do a compression test? Some of the 91-92 EGR'less engines had issues with burnt exhaust valves as the miles piled up...

For a gasket replacement( lower intake ) which at 200,000 miles it was well overdue... $500 is not that bad... I would have charged $300 all parts and fluid included( oil change as well )... But that just me..
