i have a 2000 1500 z71 with 212000 miles on it. the service 4wd light is on and the lights are not working for the 4wd shift selector. i think that the selector is bad. so on to the next problem. the truck is acting like it is stuck in low gear but the 4wd is not engaged and will not shift out of 1st gear. crazy thing is when you go to put it into park on flat ground the truck will roll until it hits the stop for the park gear. its almost like even though you shift out of gear there is still transmission pressure still be applied to the clutchs or somthin i do have some mechnical background but have never ran into a problem like this before any help would be great thanks:screwy:

Have you checked all fuses on both sides for 12 volts?
Did it all happen all at one time?

A transmission transpher case capable scanner may show codes or problems?

If any codes post back code no.
