Strange code

Hey all,

Truck is an 07 Avalanche with the 5.3, traction control, stabil trac ect. Leaving home yesterday and a hear a couple of dings and when I glanced down at the DIC it is displaying "Service traction control system" and "Service stabil trac system". I called my garage as I was driving and they said it sounds like a ABS problem so I made arrangements to take it in today. While I was driving it yesterday after the error messages popped up I got on the brakes hard on some snow and the ABS worked fine, but when I stepped on it to leave and it spun activating the traction control the error message came up again saying "Service traction control system". After getting to my destination and shutting off then restarting the truck to leave, no error messages came up and the traction control, stabil trac and ABS seem to be working fine, I even tried swerving, spinning and braking hard several times in snow to activate all the systems and they all worked fine.

Now here is the catch. Today when I took it to my mechanic they scanned for codes and there was only the one and they said it was a Steering wheel position sensor code. They were a little bewildered more by the error messages it was giving rather than the code. They cleared the code and since all the driving I did yesterday and today without any more error messages popping up, they said to simply bring it back in if it does it again. Figured I'd just throw this out there as a little F.Y.I.
