Idle problemfischnet 10-16-2009, 05:34 PM When I first start my 2000 Ranger I have to keep my foot on the gas pedal to keep it from stalling. After a bit it revs up tp about 1600 rpms and then it is fine until I have to start again. That is if it sits for a few hours. Any Ideas? way2old 10-16-2009, 08:18 PM Sounds like you might be having a problem with the Idle Air Control valve. They are a common problem with Fords. Fairly inexpensive and easily replaced. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
