Great finish. Also very impressive scale. Well done.

Fantastic build... Great exhaust tubing! The only things that i dislike of the overall shape of the model are the rear end of the body, that appears a little lower than real and the rubber tires that seem to have a taller side than it should.
Agree?

thanks iharos,

LAPO,
yes i agree, that is what i noticed and even the front wheels doesn't have that much clearance between the tires and the body.

Anyways thanks guys. :)

Impressive build.....
Looks like you got the paint pretty close to perfect...great work.
And yes....those exhaust snakes look fantastic..What technique-mix of paint did you use ??

I was made aware that the tyres are not entirely accurate when I got mine..
I picked mine up from a mate who owns his own hobby store..:) and he let me go right through the contents of an open box, before making my mind up..
Maybe someone (?) will step up and cast some proper tyres....:dunno:

I do like what you have shown us though, thank you for that.
Makes me want to start mine...but I have too many ahead of it.....

Thanks!

regarding the exhaust i simply used Alclad chrome and then for the heat stains i used clear yellow followed by clear orange, clear blue and smoke.

I've heard a lot of not very complimentary discussion of this kit, about all the things Trumpeter got wrong and how difficult it will be to get a decent build out of it. Your work, however, should dispel a lot of that kind of negativity.

Looks like an outstanding build. I'm super impressed with all aspects; from my first glance at all those seat rivets to the hood pins, you've really nailed the detail on this one.

Very nice build - love the paint finish.

Got to agree about the tyres though, the rear ones are far to large a diameter. A great shame after looking at the rest of the kit. I cannot understand how kit designers can get things so wrong - crazy!:shakehead.

Nice work, it proves this kit does have a lot of potential, even with the bad tires and very under-detailed seats.

I also heard a lot of negative discussion about this kit and yes i agree that it has some flaws or shall we say inaccuracy but its not that too bad, i build it simply because i like it and i enjoyed building it, in fact i still have one unbuilt of this same kit :)

and BTW thanks everyone :)

Wow, mighty impressive stuff! Never seen this kit before and although it appears to have a couple of minor flaws the end result still looks fantastic!

Thanks for showing us this Kit,put nicely together and the paint looks great.Looks like a lot of Xtra detailing can be done on this Kit,do you have a pic of inside (cockpit,Gauges and so on) that would great to see.As the others say the rear tyres are totally out of size, dont know what went wrong there or is it that the wheel arches are not correct, hard to say looking at the pics.

Nice work, Its good to see someone build this kit. I was disapointed when Scale Motorsports decided not to do a super detail kit for it, they said too many inaccurates.
Overall, fantastic build!!!

Sweetooth - how much of the detail have you added? I've not seen the kit in person so I don't have a feel for what was included vs what you have put in.

This is basically built OOB with two minor modifications
1.)on the disc brakes, i sanded it since the groove were too deep
2.)The steel cable that is connected to the hood pins, i used thin wires in replacement to the kit provided cable.

You did an awesome job. It's flawless, is impressive.

Just received mine this week. Don't know about referring people to sites, but I got mine for $185 USD inc. shipping. I wonder if tires from another kit (say Tamiya) might be better? Lola GT?
