i broke the line that runs across the rearend from the t on the driver side to the passenger wheel. it's steel and wrapped with coils around it. autozone said to check with the dealer, as today is sunday will have to wait. has any of ya'll had to buy 1?

your best bet would be just to buy a piece of bulk brake line from the parts store and bend it yourself to put it in. Dealership your gonna pay out the ying yang for a pre-bent line. Your only looking at 10-15 dollars for that line at a parts store plus brake fluid for when you bleed them. another line to check on while your looking at brakes lines is the one that goes from the front to the rear that goes between the gas tank and frame rail. I have replaced those more times than i can count. Pretty sure your truck uses 3/16ths line someone correct me if im wrong.

you can't buy that line from the dealer.you'll have to have it made my them or just make it yourself.don't worry about that coiled wire around it you can't get that anyway.it protects the line from rubbing thru.if the new one you makes rubs anything just slit a piece of hose and slip it on the area it will rub.

3/16ths across the axle and 1/4 form the abs to the flex line. If you have never flared a line its prob a good idea to let somebody else handle it.

You can watch a video on eHow.com that shows you how to do all the brake lines step by step and how to cut, flare, splice, any brake line. EXCELLENT. This site is EXCELLENT too.

As said forget the coil stuff on outside of line.

Auto Zone or any good parts places should have steel brake line already made up in different sizes and lengths and fittings .

Take yours off and match up to right size and length and fittings and just bend to fit.

They make a bending tool to bend the sharp bends.
