2004 Silverado interior Noise in A/C

I have tried a search and could not find an answer.
2004 Silverado, base model with the twin heat/cool temp slides on the a/c control.
When you have the temp set all the way to cold you can hear a click - click sound around the bottom of the dash. If you move the temp slides up just a bit then the noise stops.
Also I have a light out in the passenger side slide. Can it be replaced?
Thanks

Some vent doors are opened and closed by a small electric actuator motor with plastic gears in them.

Feel for the one clicking and check it out.

The air tempt actuator motor on yours is on bottom center of heater housing.

Well the cooler weather has put a stop to the noises, at least today it did. I will keep listening and checking.
Hey, how about the light that is out in the Slider control-passenger side, is there a exploded view somewhere?

The noise will come back.
Factory repair manual may be your best bet there.
I would.
Check parts place for replacement bulb and then.
Pull control and have a look.

MT-2500, Thanks for the response.
I am going to try and get by a salvage yard and see if they have a control unit sitting out where I can look it over with out taking the dash apart this week. I bet there is a bulb in there somewhere to be replaced.
Always a project to work on.
