Diablo Owners I Have A Question?2cooljay 10-25-2001, 11:00 PM I was wondering what field of business i should get into, so one day I will be able to afford a lamborghini or a ferrari. Right now in college i am majoring in Finance with the specialization in Investment Management. Any incite would be helpful. tomq 01-23-2002, 02:55 PM Gotta be a bank robber or have rich parents or be a genious who works on governemnt and does something like X-Files :), than you might get a space ship for free :))) :alien: Webmaster_Zeus 01-24-2002, 01:33 AM well I ain't no lambo or ferrari owner but I would tell u one thing. Well, a few. Property Investment and importing goods. I'm planning to set one up in a few yrs time after uni. I know wot I'll be doing, got it kinda planned out, got a few potential investors as well, (mainly relatives), and also hoping to get a permit to be validated before starting. But really there's no such thing as a "right business". U do what u think u like and can do well in. Offer something that others can't offer and deliver it. Also have a few "friends" in high places, that way u dun get hasselled too much and messed around wif;) . And try to do something individual but practical, that way its a sure way to get successful. As well as think ahead, as the business should be able to last a LONG time so u can generate good income, but successes r not made overnight, so if u looking to start a business and be rich within' 3-5 yrs, go rob a bank cauze the first 1-2yrs u'll be making a loss to cuttin' even. My best of luck and wishes to u in your decision and future. 2cooljay 01-28-2002, 12:40 AM well i love my computers. I was at the University of Illinois at Chicago studying mechanical engineering but i didn't like it. Like I said I love computers, so I decided that I should go to DeVry. I'm gonna start this march. I am going to major in Computer Information Systems. Its my dream to open up my own Computer Consultim Firm. I know that i won't make it big over night but i intend on getting a job as a programmer for a few years, save some cash, then open up shop. Hopefully by time i'm in my 40's i'll make some good dough. If not who cares, i'll be happy because i'll be working with what i love. Thanks for the replies. 2cooljay 03-14-2002, 11:18 AM Well I must be one of the most confuesed people out there. I decided not to go to devry. I am back to either going to school to major in finance or machanical engineering. I already got into a school for finance, but I'm not to sure thats what I want to do. I would love to get into the automotive industry. Either selling exotic autos or possibly get into the aftermarket industry and design my own performance parts and open up a performance shop. Any suggestions. tomq 03-14-2002, 11:23 AM yeah, be a ganster, sell cocain, buy Diablo on cash and here you go, rich and happy, but watch out don't get killed accidently :smoka: cowboyjoe5 03-19-2002, 10:11 AM Hey Dawg, You should forget about finance and just solve the problem of perpetual motion or cold fusion thats where the dough is :flamer: :rocket: Webmaster_Zeus 03-26-2002, 05:34 AM u wanna get the dough, work, but not too much, if u work for some1, the chances of becoming rich is very limited as the amount u earn is based on the salary they give u. So how to do it? well have like a 10yr plan, buy, invest, sell, trade. take risks. its the only way. n u know wot, GET A COMPANY, that way u can PAY YOURSELF, pay-yourself as in, u take out of tax what your expenses r instead of it going to tax. n u know wot? I'TS ALL LEGAL! DMC12 05-07-2002, 12:38 PM I work in a very wealthy city. The average home price is above one million dollars. We have a Ferarri & Lamborghini dealer in town, and the customers are usually the independently wealthy. They were born with a silver spoon in their mouth. My last employer had quite a few toys. He founded his own successful company, but got the money from his rich dad (who got it from his dad, etc). You can slave awa, saving every penny, so that when you are about 55 or 60 years old you can buy one. However, the only true way to enjoy a Ferarri or Lamborghini is to have so much money that you drive the hell out of it then toss it aside like a cheap hooker. Otherwise, you'll constantly be worrying about people denting your doors, valets redlining the engine, depreciation, etc... The solution is to hit rock bottom, and let society take care of you! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
