I am going to install a 99 Ranger AM FM CD Radio in my 97 Ranger.......but the wire harness is different. Is there someplace that sell an adapter to do this or do I have to splice the wires???? Seem like a PITA Thanks for any info

I put in an aftermarket radio/CD player in my Escort. I got the adapter kit from Wal-Mart. You might check with them and see if they have a Ford to Universal adapter kit. They had them for Ford, Chevrolet and Chrysler cars.

Replied to your later post about the harness. Check with Crutchfield. Think BestBuy will install for free if you buy radio from them (they may charge you for installation kit/parts).
