Broke down while driving. Would not start. Was told it was the camshaft position sensor and drive assembly, got them changed but now out of time and will only go up to 20 to 25 mph. Idles pretty good though. Was told that the transmission is keeping it from timing right. Is that possible? Reading out transmission control code if driven. Not sure what to do next. Any help would be greatly appreaciated.

Per the factory service manual, P1747 is EPC solenoid circuit failure, shorted circuit or output driver.
Condition: Voltage through EPC solenoid is checked. An error will be noted if tolerance is exceeded.
Symptom: Short circuit causes minimum EPC pressure (minimum capacity) and limits engine torque (alternate firm).
Refer to Pinpoint Test B.
Pinpoint Test B relates to the Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) sensor. Maybe they knocked the sensor/connector when working on the CPS.
