I just bought a 96 Skylark Gran Sport 4 door. I need to replace one of the rear window deck speakers. Can anyone tell me how to take off the panel that covers the speakers? I can see no obvious fasteners.
The car has the rear seat back that folds down (in case that was an option), if that matters. Please advise, Thanks! ED

With that car, the procedure is to take out the back seat first.... Since that's a royal pain, what I did when I put mine in was open the trunk, get a pair of pliers and unscrew the screws from the bottom up. Then I'd put #10 screws into the new speakers, and lower them until they all fit the holes and used lockwashers to hold them on. It's a little time-consuming but it's better than having to take the back seat out just to replace speakers. Who designs these things??

Tom SF, that is an excellent idea! I was not looking forward to "destroying" half of the interior to replace a dead speaker. I'll remember to take a pillow in the trunk with me, so I can get some R&R while I "do this thing". Thanks a lot for the help!!!
(they must design these things for ease at the factory assembly, only!)

Mission accomplished! All I had to do was run a drill bit through the metal screw holes, to open them up for the #10 machines screws, and viola! Thanks again to Tom SF for the help! Now, about my 401K...
