Is this a good deal?freelunch 04-04-2003, 10:21 PM So, what do you think of this for my first car? Is it worth it? http://autos.canada.com/vancouver/buying/listing.aspx?id=36364 Sanchi 04-04-2003, 10:57 PM :bloated: :bloated:  how much is that in US dollars... im gona guess around 5-6k US?!?!?! if it is 5k for a 91 your getting ripped the fwk off!!! we have 95's selling for 5k here. BUT thats one sweet ride!!! Suislide 04-04-2003, 11:33 PM find out the mileage first. that's alot for a '91. there's a '93 hatch for sale here in Ontario for $4000 CDN and it only has 175 thousand km (thinking if i can buy it or not). if that car has really low mileage (below 100k) or an SR or some other perk, then go for it. if not, then keep looking because that's a rip-off if there's nothing special about it. Stephie 04-05-2003, 12:28 AM I have seen 1991's for alot less then that...but I am guessing that buddy would be willing to negotiate. Check out www.buysell.com, and canadatrader.com to see if they have any similar ones, and check out what they are going for. Oh, and for sure, check out the KM's, and the floor carpet...you can tell how hard a car has been driven, but the conditon of the carpet...and anyone that doesnt tell you how many KM's are on the car in the add, means that they are high, so they will want you to call so they can convince you they are highway KM's...lol... but hey, they are hot cars, I was looking at getting one, as they go for about $5K here. If the Km's arnt high, and it passes inspection, make them an offer, and have some fun! Good Luck!! Nissan240sx 04-05-2003, 02:32 AM yeah mna for real! that car is mighty too expensive unless its less than half that in USD. i see those cars around here for like less than 3k USD. thats another reason i wanna get one lol cuz im poor. but w/e im getting a job so its all good. Sandhawk 04-05-2003, 02:52 AM I would typically look for one around the $3000 mark. Also doesnt the Canadian 240 come with a different stock motor than the US one does? Nissan240sx 04-05-2003, 12:19 PM why would it? Dorikin 04-05-2003, 01:31 PM The onl main difference between Canadian and US cars is all Canadian cars come with a VLSD Sandhawk 04-05-2003, 02:10 PM ahh ok thnx for the info Nissan240sx 04-05-2003, 02:56 PM Originally posted by Dorikin The onl main difference between Canadian and US cars is all Canadian cars come with a VLSD whats VLSD Dorikin 04-05-2003, 05:24 PM Read the FAQ...... Back on topic, get rid of the auto belts and put a harness in :bloated: :bloated: DAM u guys up north are lucky i want VLSD stock!!! :D :D morimotor34 04-07-2003, 06:15 PM Not worth it unless it's got really low mileage, but most 240s that old have pretty high mileage. You can find many good early model 240s in the states for $3500 and under. But, make him an offer like someone said earlier. If he seriously thinks he'll get that much for it he's in a dream world! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
