How much are you gonna be putting out for a set of rims like that? Sandhawk 04-04-2003, 08:35 PM Kick ass rims man, I wanna see pics of em on yur S14 cuz that would look awesome Sanchi 04-04-2003, 09:20 PM i want some 17x9's i dont know yet how they will fit but thats the smalles they got heheh expecting to pay about $2720 ouch!! but well see rims are hella expensive  Sandhawk 04-04-2003, 10:08 PM $2720!!! sheez I wish I had that kind of money. Sanchi 04-04-2003, 10:47 PM Ya thats a crazy ammont!!!! but i just like the design. OZ has some that look like this but i cant seem to find them ohh well on with my search for a more affordable ones!!!:D :D 95_SX_SE 04-04-2003, 11:26 PM Holy crap, $2720 just for the wheels?? That's insane man, but if you really like them that much and have the money, then go for it. They are nice, but a bit too agressive for my taste. Here's the 2 I'm considering... Suislide 04-04-2003, 11:30 PM if you're going to shell out $2750 for a set of wheels i've never even heard of, why not look around and find a set of good condition second hand Advans or Skyline wheels? i saw someone selling a set of Advan Generation 2's for $900 somewhere...and a set of R33's for like $1200. Fliquer 04-05-2003, 12:06 AM They look hella sweet....and hella heavy ;) Nissan240sx 04-05-2003, 02:37 AM well since everyone like those rims here, then ima have to go ahead and be the contradiction, its true though i dont really like them very much , plus on top of that the preice 2750! and they do look heave, for that i would go for something like the racing hearts gunmetal ones i don tknow what they are really called or if thats just it lol well w/e everyone here seems to like them so i guess u shouldnt let my vote change ur mind, but honestly that just isnt my taste :-D Sanchi 04-05-2003, 04:08 AM Well i never said i was gona get them...  But they look hells sweet and ive been looking for rims that look like these for sometime now with no luck. Just showing you guys the kinda of rims i like. YA $2720 is whayyy too much for rims on my 240!!! thats for sure. Ive also been looking for som R33 rims with no luck. but im still working on my suspention ATM so no rims for a while!!! HEY if its heavy who gives a SHIT get MORE POWER!!!! just baught some ST sway bars... not as EZ as i though they were to install  and im upgrading my brakes this weekend i hope hehe... Sanchi 04-05-2003, 04:24 AM hey i like these rims also what do you guys think will it looke good !??!? http://store3.yimg.com/I/ntnsracing_1729_53586103 they are AVS MODEL 5's nice!!! picture it on a S14 :D :D Nissan240sx 04-05-2003, 12:18 PM yeah those are a bit nicer :D D Money1644 04-05-2003, 12:46 PM my 2 cents: personally, i wouldn't buy those wheels even if they were reasonably priced. they look good and all, but i've developed a strong dislike for 5-spoke wheel patterns. it's become trendy in my mind, way too many people getting wheels with a 5-spoke pattern. it's just about all i see these days and im sick of it. i don't know if it's the same where you guys live, but that's how it is here. flylwsi 04-05-2003, 04:20 PM 5 spoke rims are not necessarily trendy, as the 5 spoke design is classic, and has been used over and over, and looks great. those wheels could be lighter than you think, so don't judge too much... on a 240 (s14, s15, whatever) i think that a 5 spoke lends a great look, though the 3 bar advan's above look good too.. i don't like the 5 spoke b/c it's trendy, but simply b/c it looks great... the ones on the nsx are great too... 5 spokes are simple, conservative (if done right) and classy... 3 is simple, but sticks out... anything more gets a little complicated, and makes you see the wheel instead of the car.. the wheels should complement the car, and most (****most, i said****) complement the overall picture, instead of "seeing the forest for the trees (wheels being the trees here), and missing the big picture" flylwsi 04-05-2003, 04:21 PM sorry that was as long and ranty as it was... just my thoughts on the topic... Sanchi 04-06-2003, 12:10 AM Hey thanks for the thoughts flylwsi... ya i'm a fan of the 5spoke rims some alot of them are ugly, but if it resembles the one i posted thats the style i like. But around here we mostly see the mesh rims not many 5spoke i dont atleast :D :D Suislide 04-06-2003, 03:13 AM buy the AVS Model 5's dude. i friggin love those wheels. D Money1644 04-06-2003, 01:29 PM you guys make some good points about 5-spoke wheels, but i kind of have an obsession for standing out, even if it means resorting to overkill. ghostchild316 04-06-2003, 02:37 PM what do you guys think about these? (SOMEDAY)I will have them on my car... Suislide 04-06-2003, 02:51 PM Originally posted by ghostchild316 what do you guys think about these? (SOMEDAY)I will have them on my car... Volk GT-C's? i love those wheels... ghostchild316 04-06-2003, 03:12 PM or these:hehehe: flylwsi 04-06-2003, 03:20 PM i love the gt-c rims... are those other ones the new Volk "playa" series? nice... Dorikin 04-06-2003, 08:38 PM How bout those new wheels made by Davin and Dayton...theyre 120 spoke wires that spin when you stop!! Suislide 04-06-2003, 09:57 PM Originally posted by Dorikin How bout those new wheels made by Davin and Dayton...theyre 120 spoke wires that spin when you stop!! this is the 240SX forum, not the 1964 Chevrolet Impala forum. :finger: Ace$nyper 04-06-2003, 10:52 PM then you can make the ass drop LOL! good call Dorikin. I like the rims though ghostchild316 04-06-2003, 11:09 PM Man are the GT-Cs expensive.About 600 bucks a rim as much as what I got my car for... ImportNut1212 04-06-2003, 11:35 PM i'm thinkin of either of thse two for my 95 red 240sx se These are the black racing pro-n1's http://www.wheelmax.com/Wheels/5zigen/n1brz.gif and thse are the FNO1-R by 5zigen http://www.wheelmax.com/Wheels/5zigen/fn01rhb.gif what'da think? ghostchild316 04-06-2003, 11:39 PM both are very nice but the pro n1s look alot like Advan rims... Suislide 04-07-2003, 05:11 PM Originally posted by ghostchild316 both are very nice but the pro n1s look alot like Advan rims... Black Racing's are knock-offs of Advan RG's, but they're GOOD knock offs. most knock-offs are heavier or lack the quality of the original, but Black Racing isn't too far behind Advan in terms of quality. it's a good wheel. morimotor34 04-07-2003, 06:10 PM Personally, I'm a fan of many of the Volk Racing rims. Most of them look spectacular. I really dig the GT-Ns. A little flashier than 5-spokes but still great looking. As for 5-spoke wheels, I do enjoy them a lot. They look great, but they do seem a little trendy. I can't really stand those tri-spokes. Look too strange for me, but that's just my opinion. The ones that you found were pretty good looking, but with that kind of money I'd go with some Volks. Skyline rims are a good idea too. Sanchi 04-07-2003, 08:55 PM http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/attachment.php?s=&postid=876175 Hey ghost those are sweet!!!! Velox has rims that look alot like them http://www.veloxperformance.com/Products/81200274134AMvx5150.jpg I was concidering the velox ones but they only come in 19" and that is WAY!!! too big for my taste heh. im thinking of getting the ADV model 5's if i can find some 17's it'd be perfect!!! WHOO HOO!!! :D :D ghostchild316 04-07-2003, 10:17 PM I wish I could say stuff like that(im getting this, buying that...) I'm broke as a joke can't even afford a coke:( Suislide 04-07-2003, 10:34 PM Originally posted by ghostchild316 I wish I could say stuff like that(im getting this, buying that...) I'm broke as a joke can't even afford a coke:( at least you have a 240SX. i have barely any money and there's no decently priced 240SX's around here, i've been DIEING to get one for almost 2 years now... ghostchild316 04-07-2003, 10:58 PM If you were down here in Kansas you would have much better luck finding a good 240sx for a descent price. I've seen mostly women driving fastback 240's here. Plenty of parts in salvage yards here(except for a passenger side front fender...)for 240's. I saw a lady with all her laundry in her 240 driving down the street once upon a time... Keep searching S13_Iketani,you'll find your car;) morimotor34 04-08-2003, 12:19 AM Maybe we should take an offering for Brian so he can get his 240! Or start a fundraiser!! Suislide 04-08-2003, 06:07 PM Originally posted by morimotor34 Maybe we should take an offering for Brian so he can get his 240! Or start a fundraiser!! it just got a whole lot worse. i visited my lawyer today regarding the blasphemous ticket i received (for those of you that don't know about this, check out my thread "A Cop Is An Idiot" in the Stress Release forum). it turns out that, in order to fight the ticket in court, i have to pay $1000 out of my pocket for the legal fees. and that's just to FIGHT it. there's no promise that it will be dismissed yet. if we lose the case, i get my $1000 back, but it doesn't matter because alot worse things will happen. 1)$325 fine 2)i have to go to the police chief and explain why they shouldn't take my license away. 3)since it was such a high fine, they'll probably take it away for 6 months anyways. 4)my insurance rates will quadruple from $700 a year to $3000 a year for 5 years. it's worth the $1000 to fight the ticket and possibly (80% likely) get it dismissed, but it's still $1000 out of my pocket. a 240SX is farther away then ever now. morimotor34 04-08-2003, 11:18 PM Brian, sorry man!! You're really going through it now! Well, stay strong ok! You'll make it through. Your Silvia's waiting on the other side. Just remember that! Sanchi 04-09-2003, 08:50 PM I say find that old BITCH and e-brake turn over her fat foot!!! Sanchi 04-11-2003, 10:46 PM What do you guys think my friend just baught these for $700 hes willing to sell them to me for that price too, they are ADR 18" 8.5 all around. perfect condition!! i looked at them today and there were real nice!!! http://www.wheelmax.com/Wheels/ADR/msport.gif Nissan240sx 04-11-2003, 11:44 PM now those are SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brian doesnt even own a 240, yet he's STILL arguably one of the most knowledgable people here.... It will all turn out in the end...I predict the cop wont show up in court, and since there was No Witness on the ticket, they cant prove a thing ghostchild316 04-13-2003, 03:05 PM start a fundraiser like on the movie HalfBaked?:bonghitte :evillaugh :hehehe: Suislide 04-16-2003, 04:11 PM Originally posted by ghostchild316 start a fundraiser like on the movie HalfBaked?:bonghitte :evillaugh :hehehe: that would be nice...:( vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
