Blower trouble

On my 2000 Silverado, I do not have low speed for my fan, 2 to 5 work fine, what be the problem.

Sounds like the blower resister is at fault. Try searching the net for this and you'll be reading for a while.

I agree. I replaced my resistor pack last winter.

most part stores care this item ,,common failure..replace the air filter as well...a restricted air box filter will not cool the resistors mounted there.resistors are at the blower motor under the glove box,duct cover.

So I go to the parts store, exactly what do I ask for. And what the price? Also can I replace the resistor myself if I find the value of it?

I had the same problem with my 03 2500. It was the blower motor resistor. It is very easy to replace yourself. Was quoted a price of 64.85 for the part from a garage. Havent priced it myself though from parts stores. I had a loose connection and was able to get 2-5 working by tapeing it.
