Beetle cuts off when hot!

My 2000 VW New Beetle GLS 2.0 will not start after it runs hot. The battery dies and then the battery light and oil light flash at me when it cuts off. I went and had my battery and alternater checked(when it was cool) and both are fine. The car wouldn't even crank of a jump. Had my oil changed last week and it's filled up to the line. After the car sits and cools, it starts with no hesitation. Whats going on?

You may go to service center to check what the problem is? I am also have Beetle GLS 2.0. I didn't find any problem in it. Also my car battery is working very well. I am enjoying my new car. I think it's a nice car with some different features with respect to others.

You will need to get stored engine codes scanned by computer. If you go to a local auto parts store they will run a scan for free. The codes should tell you what part has failed and to replace. If you need more help, post the codes here and i'll read them.

Is the car overheating then wont start? Or will it just not start when it's hot?

It will start when colled off then drive about 10 min then cut of. My temp light never comes on so it's not even overheating...and to everyone else....I can't go anywhere!! The car will cut off on me!!

If you can't or don't feel comfortable driving it, have it towed to the dealer.

I do believe this was your best option. VW will use vag-com to locate why your vehicle won't start while hot. Could you please post the result. This is a issue with the New Beetle but still no solution has been posted online. Thanks in advance.
