I have 99 silverado that i have put a new fuel pump, filter, new plugs and wires. And it still has a sputtering, misfire kinda. Took it to get it diagnosed and two different places said there was no power to plug. Any suggestions?

Did they check the cigar fuse to see if it was blown?

Yes, The ALDL has to have a power and ground for a scan tool to communicate through it. If the fuse is blown, there is no communication!

Found out the problem, the cigar fuse was blown changed it, had it tested it was #7 cylinder random misfire. Come to find out one of the new plugs that was put in, the porcelain was cracked causing it to misfire. Changed plug, no more problems and no SES codes or light. Thanks for all the help guys.

some plug types you can adj/check the gap...with plugs of this type it is very easy to break the center electrode ceramic...
also if the plug was dropped...
