97 Taurus 3.0L AC compressor pulley seizeddougand3 07-22-2009, 08:05 PM 97 Taurus 3.0L AC compressor pulley seized and broke serpetine belt. Anyone know of a shorter belt size that can be routed to bypass compressor? Thanks, Doug idjikaity 07-22-2009, 11:00 PM I have 2001 Taurus 3.0L Vulcan, I had the same problem and I found a way to bypass the AC compressor pulley with a belt of 66.5 inches eff.length (DAYCO p/n 5060665. It seems to me that this should work on 97 as well, because the OEM full-length belts on these models are compatible... dougand3 07-23-2009, 08:07 AM Thanks so much, idjikaity. I'll give it a shot. dougand3 07-26-2009, 12:48 AM The 66.5 inch belt does work on the 97 3.0L.
