I have an 03 Taurus sedan engine code 2, the wife was driving it home last night said it started making a grinding noise. She pulled off to the side of the road put in park, then put it back into drive and the car won't move now. Engine starts and runs fine but no power going to the wheels no matter what gear selected including reverse, any ideas what problem might be?

Torque converter. New transmission rebuild $1200 to $1500.
