99 chysler cirrus v6 2.5l

My check engine light came on so I coded it and it said missfire on the 3 and 5 cylinder.

So I changed the plug, wires, cap, and rotor. And its worse now than before. rough idle major power loss .

Could it be my distributor? and is it normal for there to be a small amount of oil in the bottom of the distributor?

I would have replaced the same components. It's been a while since I did this to my car, but as I rcall it's tricky to remove the upper-intake manifold to replace those parts. The fact that it made it worse suggests something may not have been reconnected properly.

Also, I remember seeing a very small amount of oil in the distributor, but it was very little.

did you replace the wire correctly, did you perform a compression test??? 3-5 cylinders are next to each other, any oil or coolant loss
