I lost my tachometer instructions. What is the wiring color code?
Red: +12 volts with the key in the "on" position
Black: Ground
Blue or White: Dash lights
Green: Tach signal from engine
Where do I connect the green wire?
On a classic distributor and coil ignition system, the green wire connects to the negative side of the coil.
Now that most cars have some sort of electronic ignition, coils (and even distributors) are becoming increasingly rare.
On newer cars, you'll need to connect to a tach signal on the ignition module, engine computer or distributor.

I hope you guy's understand it and It will help you guy's . I haven't test it jet for my car am waiting for some stuff for performace my car an then am going to install the tachometer for my mirage 1997 without tachometer.

Is this the white wire coming from the distributor?
On a 1996 Mirage the coil is integrated in the cap.
