2008 Dodge Durnagososmary 06-23-2009, 10:47 AM My husband and I are thinking of buying a used, 2008 Dodge Durango. This vehicle is a bank repo, being sold at the dealership. It has 35 thousand miles on it. It drives smooth, and is a v6. My sister told me these vehicles have lots of problems and is discouraging me from getting it. What do you all think? Have you heard anything bad about these? oldblu65 06-23-2009, 11:48 AM Try going to www.nhtsa.dot.gov (http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov) , a US government agency web site that lists recalls , safety info , etc. ! You should get the desired info at that site . If not , Google " automobile recall web sites " and see what else comes up . Good luck ! akboss 06-23-2009, 02:19 PM Also check up on www.autos.msn.com, check 'prices and specs', they have a huge database of information and you can compare with 2 other vehicles. I'm not sure the pricing you're looking at but Durango's usually go for cheap on the used market, so I would guess you're getting a great price if its a repo, which is enticing. The V6 isn't ideal, but again probably makes for a great price. Reliability should be comparable to most of the other trucks in this league, save for maybe Toyota/Honda. trim250 08-06-2009, 04:08 AM It is said that most cars that are repo'd people don't take care of them but not all people destroy their cars because they can't pay for it. To be safe get it inspected by your mechanic vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
