How to program 97 Aurora keyless entry?joiner18 03-31-2003, 03:32 PM Hello, I have purchased two new key fobs for my 97 Aurora and I'm wondering if I can program them myself? If anyone can help I would really appreciate it. Thanks! kobalt 04-06-2003, 05:02 PM To resync the transmitters stand within 10 feet of the car and hold the LOCK AND UNLOCK buttons together for 10 seconds. This should recode the transmitters with the sysytem. ratpick 04-07-2003, 02:55 PM what happens then omega07036 04-07-2003, 11:12 PM Here's an excerpt from the manual: Resynchronization If only the instant alarm button works, the transmitter needs to be resynchronized to the receiver. Do this by pressing and holding both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter for about eight seconds. You must be within range of the vehicle. Once the transmitter has been resynchronized, the horn will chirp and the exterior lamps will flash once. The system should now operate properly. ratpick 04-08-2003, 12:24 AM what manual are you talking about? omega07036 04-08-2003, 11:11 AM The 1997 Oldsmobile Aurora Owner's Manual. ratpick 04-08-2003, 03:16 PM do you know anymore about programing the keyless entry cause I bought a new one and I need it programed and I dont feel like spending $34 at the dealer just to program it. omega07036 04-08-2003, 10:44 PM The manual just tells you how to resynchronize transmitters that have already been encoded to respond to your vehicle. In order to encode a new transmitter the chip needs to be flashed. I'm not sure how to do this outside of a dealership. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
