Silverado Vibration

I have a 2004 Silverado Z-71 and I have a slight vibration at about 58-61 mph. I was wondering if this could be a tire balancing problem or if something else could possibly be wrong. Thanks

since you have this occuring at this speed the wheel wieghts fell off most likely....

have the wheels re-balenced and DO NOT USE THE HAMMERED ON WHEEL WEIGHTS these fall off because the aluminum and steel eat up each other ...use the adhesive weights,,,these mount on the inner circumference of the rim....these do no corrode and if the rim is properly cleaned last the life of the tires...

rotate tires every 10-15,ooomi and make sure your alignment is correct by even tread wear ...this will ensure you get the max on life..

since this is a truck I recommend truck tires not P tires..

Thanks man thats kind of what I was thinking but as far as the tires I have 285/75/16 Maxxis Big Horns thinking about going to 35s, dont know if I should due to balancing them.

just make sure them tire boys cover sticky weights with adhesive tape.
1. i am yet to see regular weights that will stay on the alloy rim
2. i had weights glued on the rim inside - they fell off in about 2 mths
3. the final cut was to have adhesive weights AND adhesive tape securing it in place. that lasts. now, not just duct tape. they have special adhesive foil for this.

oh, things that we learn.....:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I have never had them fall off...the alloy wheels are cleaned and if there is corrosion sanding the surface smooth and using a strong solvent works....I have been with these type weights since 1998...my alloy wheels on the 96 impala and 2000 truck still look great because that steel isn't damaging the outer wheel edges...
covering the weights with a metal duct tape in addition would increase protection,,,the only issue that may occur is if they must stack them then it is possible they will hit the caliper..
