Nice progress, im working on this one also. The mirrors are actually a more lighter color. Almost like a flourescent. Your masking came out better than mine. Also when you start decaling, the black arrows. If i was you i would cut out the yellow and white and keep just the arrows. As they don't match that good, learned the hard way. Might be harder to match up where they go, but it will come out better.

Thanks, i was planning on cutting out the arrows as you say... Since i did'nt use the yellow tamiya color.

Do you have a wip thread of yours? Maybe we could exchange tips and trics

Nice work there Supermele I have those kits in the waiting plus three more with other liverys(PM Magazine,ATS/Fujitsu & Irmscher Motorsports) so I have alot on my plate just now but can't wait to get stuck into them.Yeah I would also cut out the yellow and white from the decals it might even be easier to cut out the chevrons individually so they will apply alot easier! but it looks good with the zero paints so far...keep it up.

I would also spray some smoke on your rear spoiler just to take the brightness off there!

Nice work so far, i found that kit to be quite tricky, esp the doors. Mine only lasted about a week before they fell apart, i didnt want to use superglue for fear of "foging" the window.
Cant wait to see what happens next

@ da ashman: Havent had any problems yet with my build sport version, hope it stays that way :)

Anyway, update time:

Decals are on...

http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/11363/P1010112~0.JPG

Find the difference between left and right :icon16:

http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/11363/P1010114~0.JPG

Started off wrong, placed the grey arrows last. Result: not enough room to fit the last grey arrow on the right...
Ah well, its something i can live with :banghead:

Nice shine. But i noticed you put the decal on (opel.motorsport) on the door frame. Those parts are sopposed to be black, actually carbon and not body color.

Nice work, i love these cars as they go together so well.

SuperMele

@MidMazar, i know these areas have to be black, but because i did'nt do them on the other red Astra here in the thread, i wont do it also on this one.
Once finished he will be displayed with the other, so i dont want to make to much difference between them. That is also why i did'nt smoke the carbon.

Another update...
Used flower to simulate texture:

http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/11363/P1010145~0.JPG

Airbrushed black:

http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/11363/P1010146~0.JPG

How i make seatbelts:

Take a thick napkin:

http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/11363/P1010148.JPG

Cut in pieces and airbrush them in the colour you want:

http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/11363/P1010150~0.JPG

Some cutting and glueing later:

http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/11363/P1010152~0.JPG

Once in place:
