I noticed a few drops of oil on the floor and replaced the drain plug on my 98 GP. There is still a small leak and it is bothering me. Is there an easy way to cure this fault? I might add that the oil was changed at the shop and not by me since the new plug was put in.

lol, nope. no easy way to fix an oil leak. you can waste your money and try various "stop leak" additives for your oil, or just take it to a shop and have them diagnose the problem. i had to have my rear main seal replaced with only 75000 miles on the car, and ive also heard that lower intake manifold gaskets are a common problem with these cars. neither or those are cheap, however the lower intake manifold gaskets are actually kinda simple if your a do-it-yourselfer

To clarify is the small leak coming from the new oil drain plug or the oil pan gasket or another source? If oil pan gasket thats a different issue and not that easy to replace but a common problem area.

X2 on BNaylor's statement. I have a small leak from my oil pan gasket. If Your oil pan gasket is your problem, I believe the engine cradle needs to be dropped and the engine hoisted to be able to drop the pan. A real PITA from the research and comments concerning this procedure.

That's food for thought. I will jack up the car and have a good luck in a day or so when it warms up a bit and report back.

One thing safety first, remember to use jack stands.
