I have a 1990 f-250 7.3l e40d. Just rebuilt tranny, not only 10,000 miles ago. was having problem with no 1-2 shift unless you shift manually. Replaced mlps with new style, and pulled pins out one at a time to replace male connector. Now i have problem with starts off in 3rd gear. You can manual shift to second and take off, but if you go to 1st manually nothing happens. I have retested mlps with dvom all readings are were they should be. Can you help me, Thanks Jason

I had a 1997 and it had a transmission range selector on the side. This told the shift solenoids what gear it was in.
