Fuel Pressure Regulator

Does anyone know where the fuel pressure regulator is located on the 1998 Silverado? 5.7 liter Vortec... I cannot find it... there is no obvious fuel rail...

Help!!!

Its under the plenum on the backside of the CPI unit.

Is that something that is relatively easy for an average mechanic to tackle? Once I remove the plastic plenum is it self explanitory?

The hardest part will be removing the fuel lines, I typically remove the distributor to make it a little easier to get wrenches back there, but otherwise they are not difficult to do.

I should note that when you pull the fuel lines out of the CPI unit (this will be before you actually remove the plenum) make sure you pay attantion to what comes out with them. Sometimes the o-rings and spacer come with them and they need to go back in or it will leak. There is also a 10mm bolt that holds the fuel lines in place back by the fittings by the firewall.
