i just bought a 2001 z71 5.3l and when i am going down the highway it seems like my oil pressure moves alot more than my old truck. when im sitting it is a hair over 40psi when i am at 2000rpms going 70mph the pressure is up around 60psi. is this too high?

you good. same here. you must have had oil just changed. it'll drop down some as oil wears out. viscosity drops or something.

my vehicle runs between 45-65 psi...5-30wt synthetic...
