OK, well right now, I have a 1st gen SL2.[94] I like the car well enough, but with almost 180k on it, I may be looking for a new car in the next year or two. We have had GREAT service out of our 94!! Wifes mom got it new, and we got it at about 60k. All that the carhas had was a Alt, water pump, belt tentioner, belt, tenp sensor, and T stat replaced in the last 179k miles!! How can you beat that?? Also the cars are so damn simple to work on, I may look at another one. So one of my biggest issues with the car is that they are real small inside!!! At 6'3" tall, and over 200lbs, I more put the car on, then get into it!!! Is the 2nd gen any bigger inside? Are they as relyable, and simple to work on as the 1st gen?? Anything else I am gaining, or loosing with a 2nd gen, over a 1st?? Thanks!

You definitely dont want a coupe. Sedan is what you want. My father is 6'2''. He has slightly more head room in the 3rd gen then the second gen. And even less in the 1st gen. So look for a sedan in the 2nd or 3rd gen. There the best bet for you :)

This is just me. Believe what you want. For some reason I highly believe that the first gen's are more reliable.
