Small coolant leak

I have a 2000 3.5V6 that has a small coolant leak. I can see a few drops on the ground (toward front/center of engine compartment) where the car is parked. I am losing approx. 1 liter/2-3 months so the leak is very small. Is there any downside to not fixing this and simply adding 1 liter every few months? The engine temp runs fine.

I changed the thermostat in Feb. because of a leak that was bigger. Before that, I was losing 1 liter every 2-3 weeks.

Thanks.

Just wondering. Did you see if it was at all related to the heatercore because my 2000 3.5 Intrigue leaks and smells as soon as I turn on in the morning down by the driver's right side of the foot as the heatercore is on its way out.

Also how was the R/R of the heatercore. I want to do the same soon too just as preventive maintenance.

Thanks

I don't smell any coolant in the car and have not noticed a heatercore leak inside the car on either the driver side or passenger side floor.

A shop changed the thermostat for $130 ($50 part + 1hr labor). The tstat is easy to get to -- when you open the hood, you can see it easily (right/front under the hood when facing the car).

This almost sounds like a leak that I'm having (2001, 3.5L, 112K miles). I'm wondering if it's coming from the cross over pipe? I've heard the cross over pipe is hell to get to. I've been debating about using a little bit of Bar's Leak Pelletized Stop Leak to see if that solves the problem. Not sure what anyone else things about the stuff. Thoughts anyone?
