I read that if there is a cliking sound when turning it is the CV shaft. I did replace the wheel bearing hub with no problem. Is it a bigger job to change the CV Shaft and will the car need an alighment.

Assuming that the noise is not coming from the Intermediate Steering Shaft? I haven't heard of many CV Shaft issues on the forums.

I wouldn't imagine that you would need an alignment to remove the shaft, but you might have to somehow remove/move the knuckle assembly to pull the driveshaft out.

Rather than disconnecting at the top of the strut, where you might need an alignment, could you disconnect at the lower ball joint and tie rod end, and then possibly turn the entire assembly out of the way?

Never done it, and these are just suggestions..

If it was the intermediate steering shaft then would the noise not be there where I turn right or left. Mine only makes a clicking sound when I am making a right turn and the cliking is comming from the left wheel. I may have destroyed the CV when I got stuck in snow and I was rocking the car back and forth till I got out.
