I am in charge of doing basic repairs on a U.S Government passenger van and was hoping some questions could be answered.

How do you change the door locks so they do not lock-up as soon as you put it in drive?

The passenger side front lug nuts always work themselves loose before the others, but I always catch them when they are still pretty tight. Just normal behaviour or something else?

The tire pressure system is on the fritz, I see no need to fix it, and my supervisor agrees with me. As long as the tires are good is there anything I need to be worried about?

What size van?
If you are going to work on it get some good repair info.
Factory repair manual or a all data on line sub.

You need to work on lug nuts coming lose.

Are you using proper torque on them?
Any wheel damage or stud or nut damage from them coming lose?

Door locks may be a saftey issue.
If they are working right best leave them alone.

Full sized Govie van that they want to spend the least money on. Since it sounds like money is involved (I am not paying for repairs) I will just keep my eye on its quirks. Thanks for the response.

If the wheel falls off on the road and whatever it is going to cost them a lot more than it would to fix it.
