ok i got a 1996 JGC and i used my buddys code scanner and it pulled up P1757 and i want to know what it is. any help would be nice

no it shifts like shit from 1st to 2nd and then it revs up to about 4000 when it shifts from 2nd to 3rd and some times i have to let off the gas for it to shift at all so do you think its the governor and i pulled up code 37 by doing the on off thing with the key

I would have to suspect the governor pressure transducer.It's a pretty common thing.

When I did mine, I changed only the transducer. I would also change the transmission filter at the same time, though.

after change these part if your tranny shift 1st to second in high rpm change the output shaft speed sensor its just before the transfert case and you need a 1 " key. i already have this problem with my 98 and after changing this part my jeep runs fine. are you sure you get only one code with the scanner. the part i told you cost around 25$if you change it you have to do it faster because of the fluid hope thats help!!!
