i havent looked over the car yet but the other day i noticed the oil pressure wasnt up. i just maybe need oil but no low oil light ill check the level tomorrow just making sure its not a blown lifter which was the case with my monte carlo..should i do a cylinder leak down test or could it just be a faulty sending unit..??? o yeah the oil pressures goes back up after heavy acceleration and goes back down while cruising and i havent noticed any abnormal engine noise then what i already know

You don't say how many miles are on the engine. On older engines when the cam bearings started to wear you would notice the oil pressure getting lower and lower as time went by. Since the oil pressure increases with rpm you may either be low on oil or the pump is worn to the point where it can't maintain the oil pressure. A trick we used to try was to use a higher viscosity oil. If you are using 5W-30 try a 10W-40 to see if the pressure goes up. However before doing that you might want to change the sending unit on the engine to see if it is working properly. I am sure I will get criticized for the suggestion of going to a higher viscosity oil but it does work.
