I Want to run true duals. Has any one tried cutting the y pipe after the converters and before they meet into one pipe and run two pipes from there. Want to know if this is possible.

I am sure a lot of people have set up dual exhaust.
A good muffler shop can usually make up a dual exhaust for you.

Watch out if the catalytic converter is cut off. Some will will do this and I know of one that does this,Exhaust Specialties in Muskegon,Mi does this. The customer pays cash so this does not get reported

The trick is finding a small enough x-pipe to compensate for the Y. I just put a glass pack and a reverse y-pipe after that for my truck. Not a bad way to spend $80.
