sc1 keeps blowing emissions fuse

My 2002 SC1 service light comes on after 10 amp emission fuse blows. I disconnected emission air pump, replaced fuse, and reset engine codes. I figured that this is probably the only componant in the emissions circuit that can blow a 10 amp fuse. The fuse blew after about a half hour of driving, once again causing service light to come on. The car runs good, but my gas milage has gone down. o-2 sensor along with up to 6 other open circuit in emissions will code out. I figure they code out once the fuse blows. Any sugestions?

Hmmmm. I dont have a schematic of the 3rd gen harness. The only other part that may be under that fuse is the EGR. Note that if you disconnect the EGR, you will get an SES light and a slightly rough running engine.

Would it be all right to disconnect the EGR and run the car for a week to see if the fuse stops blowing?

Yea that is fine. You may notice a decrease in Fuel mileage but if the fuse doesnt blow I think you found your culprit :)
