pretty much i redid my exhaust my self cause i ended up having to get some of it replaced and shops wouldn't do what i wanted so i did it myself, i have 3in true duals on it now and i don't have the post cat 02 sensors plugged in ( no hole) so the engine light is on and i had a scanner hooked to it and im throwin knock sensor codes and runnin really rich, pretty much i want to know which would be the best way to go, try and drill holes in my exhuast and weld a nut to it and hook up my old ones, o and i have to buy a new pre cat one cause the wires were damged, i honestly wouldnt care about hte light and all and doing this cause it runs fine but i want to get a performance chip for it and i know u hav ot have everything runnin right before hand, and if anyone has a link were to get the elimiators at or know how big of a resitor to get ot make a home made one and how too plz let me know, my truck is a 2000 chevy 1500 silverado with the 5.3L thanks

Fix the front one, that is why you are running crappy. The rears are to measure cat effeciency. You can loop a resistor between the terminals and do what the foolers do, just don't know hat resistance you need.

Any good muffler shop or parts store will sell you some O2 sensor bungs to install downstream of the cats.

yea i know thats why its running crappy ( even though it runs fine driving it its just setting off codes) i was just wondering if it was worth getting the fake o2 sensors or what ever there called that makes it think its got an o2 sensor set up but dosnt so it still runs good

I want to thank you for this posting of you spending money foolishly to remove the O2 sensors , and go with a 3inch exhaust....

so with all the info out on the internet and with your own experience at the muffler shop you still ruined your vehicle...

If your smart you will spend more of your money reversing this before the cops nail your azz....

If it IS rich, it will not run fine driving. It will get horrible mileage and it will ruin your new cats. Get it fixed. Like said though, muffler shop will weld you some bungs in there, that would be the thing to do.

If it is knocking though, it is most likely not rich, it is lean, and predetonation if unchecked can be disaster to your engine.
The purpose of the sensors though is to sense predetonation and take some timing out of it and richen it up to stop it, in short, if its knockin it is running crappy and you aren't making the power you could be.

ight well i guess its not running shitty cause i couldn't tell a diff when i removed them and and it has = power and everything, only diff it made was the check engine light came on, all i wanted to know is if there is a little thing u can buy to plug into the electrical part of were the o2 sensors were to fake it and if it there is what its called and were i might find one, that way i didnt have ot do the work of drilling out the wholes to put the new ones in and if i got ot spend money on a new pre cat o2 sensor then can i spend = or jst a little more on a fake thing, i apprtiate the other info and all, and my truck is not ruined or damged at all for those who had the need to say somthing dumb about that :shakehead, i checked all that after i unplugged them and drove it for 5 days before i did anything else in case it made a big diff and then i could plug them back in, but it didnt, thanks for those who helped
