Hey Guys I have a 99 JGCL. I just replaced the blower motor resistor (think I may go out there and solder the connecters so that crap never happens again)
The AC works but the passenger side is not blowing near as hard as the driver side. And to be frank that annoys the hell out of me.
I live in a very dusty environment (on a ranch and the horses have eaten away all the grass).
Is there a filter any wheres that I can clean (hopefully this is it) or could it be something more complicated.
Thanks!
Dustin

It sounds like a Blend Door issue, especially if it's a Limited model with Auto Zone control HVAC.

Dear Bob D,

Could you please elaborate further regarding the Blend Door issue above? I have also my 98 GCL jeep , yesterday the Aircon was working fine , then just today, what is blowing in the AC not working anymore.

Kindly advise me on this one please.

I'm not very familiar with the 1993-1998 blend door operation, it's a little different than the 1999-2004 system. The blend doors are also not as susceptible to failure as the newer model so if it stopped working entirely I would do some investigating first. What stopped working? Do both sides blow warm? Is the compressor turning on? etc.

If the a/c components (the closed refrigerant system) are functioning properly check the blend doors for proper function

This is the only web site I know of that has info about 1993-1998 model year blend doors, it's from a company that sells a fix it kit.
