Lumina sputteringBayman50 03-16-2009, 08:07 PM My 1991 Lumina Euro sputters at idle and during acceleration and then all of a sudenly it runs fine. Untill I stop or slow down a lot and then it begins to sputter again and during acceleration and again all of a sudden it runs just fine. Any ideas? maxwedge 03-17-2009, 11:10 AM Welcome to AF, many things can cause this, low fuel pressure, bad plugs, wires, coil pack. These are some things to check out. soopacee 03-19-2009, 09:53 PM when mine was doing that (1997 lumina), i changed plugs and wires and all was well Manowarr 03-31-2009, 06:13 PM For my lumina it was the coil pack. no2guncntrl 03-31-2009, 10:23 PM I'm right in the middle of this. My old 91 started to sputter and search for idle at a stop. Now it won't run at all, but thanks to members here I've been getting some great tips and advise on finding the prob. Once I do find and cure this, I'll be happy to share what I found and what I had to do to get it right. Life's too short and I don't want to spend it working on some old car..:grinyes: no2guncntrl 03-31-2009, 10:24 PM I'm right in the middle of this. How did you determine that the coil pack was the problem? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
