ok you say you are getting good fuel pressure how good how do you know this. When the car is quiet and your turn on the key do you hear the fuel pump? also how is your oil pressure? 3.1 will not start if your oil pressure is really low. Wow wet plugs id try drying them out now worst case and only worst case try squirting some ether in the car to see if it will run properly for a couple seconds.

I have tried the starting fluid thing also and no start.I just also changed the oil and it is clean.I do hear the fuel pump and had my son try to crank it while holding down the pin on the regulator and gas shot strait up.

well I have had a fuel pump give me a good squirt while cranking but die off as soon as it looses pressure it was a fuel pump car started great after replacing it. OK so no oil leaks and good oil level. have you checked your fuel filter making sure its not plugged.

From what you are describing it sounds flooded, try removing the fuse to the fuel pump and turning over the motor to help burn out some of the fuel. Are you sure you have the correct gap on your new plugs?

Pressing the accelerator to the floor and holding it down while cranking the starter on an EFI vehicle causes the ECM to go into "Clear Flood" mode, during which the injectors are shut off and deliver nothing.

A little piece of necessary programming since that's what drivers raised on carbs will do instinctively anyway.

It's very hard to dry really flooded plugs well enough to get a motor started...I have a gas stove, I'll set them on the cook surface so the flame just reaches the tips, you'd be surprised how long they'll pop bursts of flame as the gas evaporates and burns before they are actually dry enough to spark...

I agree it sounds like it should start, given dry plugs to fire with...

If it's really high mileage, consider the timing chain may have jumped.

Thanks for adding that also to my reply, I've heard that before too I just wasn't sure if that worked on all makes and models is why I told him to just remove the fuse to the fuel pump.

I pulled all the plugs and took them to the stove and boy did the pop from all the gas on them.I also set the gap to .45 and reinstalled them.I did the pedal to the floor thing and Still no go.

Did you take out the plugs again after that to see what they looked like again, wet with gas again, dry, or whatever. If they were wet try it my way after you get them dry again just incase, pull the fuel pump fuse out. If that doesn't do it the only other thing I can think of is it's out of time.
