i recently changed my front drivers side bulb with replacement part 9007 and to no avail its very dim did i buy the right bulb?:confused:

9007 sounds like the right bulb, bring it back and get a new 1, sounds like you got a faulty bulb, try that for now and it will rule that out.

Could be a bad bulb or you could have low voltage to the socket. I would also measure the voltage you should have 12Vdc at the socket.

I know what you mean when you say 12v, but to clairify for someone who doesn't know: You should have the same voltage across the bulb as you do across the battery terminals within .25v

Is it the same bulb as on the other side ?
If its not the same this may be the problem. :2cents:
