Hi Guys,
Can Anyone give me some advice on removing the shroud from my 4.0 6 cylinder Jeep to get access to the water pump. Do I have to get the entire fan clutch assy off before the shroud will lift out. Or is it more of a loosening the radiator. So far I have removed the grill, serpentine, and taken the bolts out of the fan blades and WP pully. So now cutting the bottom of the shroud out is looking like a good idea when I know that I will regret it bigtime. So any help would be greatly appriciated.

The fan shroud will come out by taking off 4 bolts, as I remember, and finessing out carefully, push forward and them come up, wiggling it around, and bringing it up kinda sideways, a PIA to not crack it.

Take off the fan clutch. you have to do it any way. just get the loner tool from auto zone. and if that doesn't work a very careful hand with an air chisel.
